WTA Fashion Week: Day 4

Again….apologies for the lateness……..I picked a really bad week for this…..

So again I play an easier card….today is dedicated to someone i love….who has brought some of the best accessories onto a tennis court ever…..

She can rock it while wearing towels……..

Always makes sure she has the right amount of tape……and knows everyone prefers to see it ripped….

She even knows how to work blood and cotton swabs

YES people…Crazy Vera Zvonareva has given us some amazing things on court….whatever will she do next year *raises hand* wear a top ten worthy dress for once!!!!

WTA Fashion Week: Day 3

Apologies for  the late post…..it’s been a long long day…..which is why today i have chosen SHOES…the easiest category….cos there are simply two pairs of shoes….and really one shoe to rule them all….

so….the loser not good enough to be the best shoe…

Victoria Azarenka, Beginning of season HC tourneys – Hey…..remember how Vika won everything at the beginning of the year….then sucked and failed for the rest????….it was cos of these awesome shoes!!!…..so pretty and colourful……I wud wear them to a CTYI reunion lyk……….And vika….you win with them….get them back!!!!!!!!

And now…THE SHOE….it’s an obvious one!!!…

Aren’t they just awesome…I want these as my tennis shoes *adds to xmas list along with a bedazzler*……..look at them…..just……shoe perfection….

WTA Fashion Week Day 2: Worst Dresses

So…was day 1 a success???…well looking at my blog stats…I believe the answer is indeed a positive!!!

So now…the fun begins!!!….The dresses this year that deserve to be culled!!!…and believe me…there are MANY MANY MANY!!!!!!! (but one of them is NOT the Kleybs dress Jewell!!) But I’ve excluded Bartoli and Radwanska from this list……cos I could probably make the whole list from them!! And while she doesn’t feature here…Elena Dementieva…get Yonex to make you a proper fitting dress and get rid of the biker shorts!!

Dinara Safina, Portoroz – So…some people may not know this…but in the summer…Dinara Safina went to a little event in Slovenia and wore Adilibria…but I found it!!…oh…my eyes…I’m sorry…this is an ok dress…but the colour???….and the overall shape on Dinara?? Thankfully it was a one tourney thing…she learned her lesson!!

Maria Sharapova, US Open – There was sadly a lot to choose from this year…What was the concept?? Insert silver lines here, here and here???…and Headband much???…..No……and yellow on her shoes???….Trying to be a Glitter Queen and failing!!!!!!!!…only JJ can do it!! Actually….the whole USO series was a fail for Maria…..wear pretty clothes again Maria…please??

Victoria Azarenka, US Open – So…like her game…Vika’s second half of the season sucked fashion-wise too!!!!!….just ill-fitting….and just makes her look a whole lot bigger in the tummy area than she actually is…Why Vika??

Caroline Wozniacki, US Open – STELLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What did you do???….Before Stella…Wozniacki was top 4 best dressed!!…..but this…monstrosity…..makes her looks huge….frills don’t look good on her…..and who wears flesh coloured clothes????

Svetlana Kuznetsova, Aussie Open – Oh Sveta….what is this???…Remember…this tourney had the Dokic dress from yesterday…..and she managed to pick the wrong dress…She really can never get it right can she??? Poor Svetlana…

Jelena Jankovic, Cincinnati – Oh JJ…Anta gave us some horrible dresses…but I took the Canary as my weapon of choice…I think this pose says more than any words as to how awful the dress is!!!

Ana Ivanovic, French Open – Her fashion was worse than her tennis….second half of the year was all Gauze material….and the first half of the year….she had this fucked up neck….i mean seriously??..As i said…it’s like she got her head stuck in the wrong hole!!!!

Venus Williams, French Open – *head in hands*….just…..just get rid of Eleven…I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nadia Petrova, Wimbledon – This wasn’t even the Petrova dress I intended…it’s actually worse!!!! Oh Nadia…you es loco!! Go back to Adidas…cos you’re burning my eyes……hey it could be worse…knowing nadia…she could have put another weird ruffle thingy in an X shape…

WTA Fashion Week Day 1: Top 10 (Plus 1) Best Dresses

So…it’s that time of year again…where I decide what’s hott and what’s nott WTA dress wise!! (note: what I may deem as hott may be extremely nott to someone else…so please don’t kill me!! )

I’m not gonna lie to yis…..this year was tough….nothing jumps out at me as being amazing…considering last year at the USO alone we had two of the best dresses (JJ and Serena)….and I’ve struggled greatly to make this list…and I’ve actually decided that the number one will be the best dress….not the best dressed player in the top 10…so it could have even been a one match appearance…

SO…LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sings the Vamanos song from Dora*

Aleksandra Wozniak, US Open - Ok….so I said ten…but…I made me list…then accidentally found this and remembered I loved it…Cirstea wore it at Wimbly (this Theme occurs a lot!!)…but I first saw it on Aleks and I just love the pink…simple yet sorta tres chic??

Alize Cornet, US Open – Can I just say…this year, LACOSTE ROCKED IT!!!! I was a huge fan of the white and black at RG (Cibulkova would be here at 10 if not for this dress) and the Crimson and Black at the USO…but I’ve given number 10 to this dress which I just adore on Crazy Cone…If only her game could work near as well as this…

Jie Zheng/Zi Yan, French Open – Ok…originally 9 was just Jie Zheng in her cutesy purple outfit…but while googling it…I found this picture of Yan/Zheng and remembered how much I loved Yan’s Dress……and I said..”Why not have double the fun??” Shame this is the only time I saw Yan all year….she could have been best dressed for all I know

Maria Sharapova, Indian Wells – Ok…2009 may have been a bad year for fashion…but 2009 was a horrible year for Masha Fashion…honestly guys she wasn’t on the list!!…Then I discovered this creamy-yellowy dress and low-and-behold Masha makes the list…for 2010 Maria…stop being a living Nike ad and go back to circa 2006/7…….And for Christ’s sake…USO Night Match…Get rid of all the lines and Headbands (WTF??) and just wear your Audrey Hepburn in a new colour!!

Serena Williams, French Open – 2009 was a good year for Serena tennistically…Fasionally…not so much……..everything is starting to look the same (and her AO outfit for 2010 is an Orangey/Yellowy version of the one she wore at this years AO so the trend will continue!!) Although it’s better than her sister (she doesn’t feature in this top ten!! Seriously?? How do you look bad in a brand YOU design??!!)…This dress was by request from Gauloises over at http://newballs.wordpress.com/ and I too liked it muchacholy!! I had thought to pick her USO night outfit…but thats a controversial area!! Anyway…orange isn’t seen a lot on tour…and Serena really worked it…and I oddly enjoy the neck line…

Jelena Dokic, Australian Open – So…Fila did a good job for once?? Some people HATED this outfit…I LOVED IT!!!…It was part of me developing my love for JD during the AO…I just adore the design around the neck and the top of the skirt….It has a sort of nostalgic feel to it…which I think all added up on this heartwarming Dokic comeback story (I sound like some English Teacher…)

Jelena Jankovic, French Open – Ok…Anta sucked….save for two outfits (this and Doha)…I almost chose the Doha one over this….then I remembered the awesome design on the back (which you can’t see in this pic ) and as you may have guessed from the Dokic choice…I love weird designs!!!!….although the crazy shawl/jacket that came with it???….not so much…still….JJ looks awesome in Blue….but its no Bananacream Pie…

Caroline Wozniacki, Clay Season – While I may have not liked seeing Wozniacki win all over my tv during the clay season…at least she looked lovely doing it…I did prefer it on Cirstea with the black…But Wozniacki was seen most in it…The Blue suits her perfect???….But why did she give up Adilibria (which fits her perfectly) to the Stella messes* she’s had so far?? Robbing me of good clothes wearing that’s why!!!! *AMENDMENT!!!!! I just discovered this Stella she wore playing doubles at the USO….THAT looks good!!! But did Kirilenko wear it before??

Sorana Cirstea, US Open – Ok….Her and Dani both ROCKED this outfit…actually this is my personal fav outfit of the year (to add to number 4…Woz would have looked AMAZING in this!!) It’s just everything I like (You can tell I enjoy me some blue!! ) Perfection!!

Maria Kirilenko, Eastbourne – It was close for top spot…But Makiri was just pipped due to the Sex Factor (hint hint)….but really she’s just beautiful…in fact I could have made this top ten just her and all her wonderful Stella Dresses…this was my fave…the purple is just divine…and just everything…Oh Makiri…she can wear anything and make it beautiful…why did Stella cut her?? She was their PERFECT model!!

Flavia Pennetta, Wimbledon/US Open – So….last year Flavia made my top ten and was a heated debate…this year…even more???….It’s just one of my favourite dresses ever…and it’s just so Flavia….I just can’t find the words…..where are you court 3???? But seriously…hate it or love it….I think Flavia thoroughly deserves this top spot!! For sheer SEX!!

So….thats the best dresses for ya????…..Did I get it right???…Wrong??….fill me with comments and let me know you guys….any outfits i missed???…Any I should have??

Amazing X Factor!!!

So…semi finals!!…And two performances (well two from both but I decided to only show one) BLEW ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if you’ve been reading the chair lately…you’d guess they were…JOE AND STACEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe’s MJ song was She’s Out Of My Life…and as always…he performed with like…buckets of emotion!! He’s prob the most emotive singer…and he’s pitch perfect…and he’s adorable….oh I love him…and his second song (open arms by Journey) was also amazing!!!!!

Stacey’s first song (The Way You Make Me Feel) wasn’t exactly my cup of starbucks coffee if ya get me??….but her second…Somewhere from Westside Story…was OUTSTANDING!!!!…When I saw she was doing it I was worried (and angry cos I had heard she was doing Florence and the Machine, which she’d be great at!!)…but other than a possibly dodgy note in her ending word….It was just mind blowing……

While I love Olly’s performances…I don’t think he’s as strong a singer as them…and Danyl….meh……JOE AND STACEY FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And with this Joe and Stacey love…I realise there are two performances by them both I missed putting on the chair…so I’ll do it now!!!!

Back in Queen Week…Stacey sang Who Wants To Live Forever…and it simply blew me away….it was the first time in a while I believed she could win…and since then she’s gone from strength to strength!!

And for her Take That song…She did Rule The World…and it too was mindblowing!!!!!!

And for take that week…Joe also blew me away…with his performance of could it be magic…that high note….WOW!!!

And for Elton John…Sorry Seems to Be The Hardest Word…which again he rocked emotionally……AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think overall….They’ve given the most of the best performances this series….like nearly everyone they did was amazing….along with Rachel’s Tina Turner and One…and Lucie’s My Funny Valentine too….So they prob deserve to win…..both of them….together….

ok….this week of X Factor (Wham Night) has brought back the Luuuuurrrrve!!!!!

Even the not-actually-singing-just-opening-our-mouths-while-the-backing-track-sings-in-tune singing of Jedward didn’t annoy me as much…and the flat singing of Danyl was a bonus (I’m sorry…..he can sing I know….but he just looks like the one most likely to be a serial killer left….and that’s twice he’s sung out of tune now)…….even though it was during careless whisper my fave George Michael song….cudnt possibly put me down!!!!

Lloyd got a haircut (does that make you like him more jewell??? ) and sang pretty good….

But the best of the night were Olly, Stacey and Joe…..the three I now want in the final…..

Olly sang a modern, sexy Fast Love….which while prob not as entertaining as previous performances…showed off his voice possibly the most since the first or second week……and I was shocked that he actually COULD be sexier than usual!!!! And his live lounge performance of Poker Face was amazing!!!

Stacey has really come back into the competition these last two weeks!!….while not as amazing as Who wants to Live Forever….this performance of I Can’t Make You Love Me shows that the girl has now started to reach her star potential…and at a good time too….another good song or two and she’s in the final….

Joe gave an amazing performance yet again (has he had a bad week yet??)…and he deservedly got the first full standing ovation of the series….just a great great performance……*is Joe fangurl*

Music Monday…Again…

So m’dears…..much has happened in a week…..amazing things have started….and beautiful things have ended….I had a lovely venture to the NCH where I realised that I MUST play bassoon, cello, viola and oboe…AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!

Eh….we’ll skip over less…enjoyable subjects and move onto X FACTOR!!!! I flove it again!!!! (I knew I cudn’t keep my promise) Stacey stole the show, Joe was amazing as usual…and Olly…oh dance Olly dance!! They are my three finalists (the only three to not have been in the bottom two so far)…the other four…Lloyd was good but knew he would be bottom two…bad song for Jamie and thought he would go. I finally enjoyed Danyl a bit, and he went and ruined it by being the most annoying thing EVER whenever he wasn’t. Interrupting a judge to act as if ur humble is NOT humble…and the whole not looking at Queen saying you dont want to have confidence when u pick we are the champions????? The fuck???? And as u may or may not have guessed…I’ve given up on judging Jedward…

And my other happiness of this week is my discovery (courtesy of Wilfycakes and PT mainly) of GLEE!!!…and it’s so awesome its my music for MUSIC MONDAY!!!!!

I’ve been singing it non stop!!!! *Don’t STOP…Belieeeevin…Hold on to that Feeeeeelin*

Cos Mercedes is my fave (although I AM KURT…for cereal!!!) and cos Mr Schu is kinda hott rapping (nothing on Finn and PUCK!!! *swoons*)

Oh Tina Turner I Love You!!!! (and I suppose Creedance Clearwater Revival for giving me the song)….

We’ll limit it to four (i could post about all of them!! ) But i gotta do this one cos i love the song…and it has KRISTIN CHENOWETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *loves with passion that knows no bounds*

Never again will I watch or comment on X Factor….what happened tonight is not on…..How dare he get rid of someone with talent…Simon said he would forget the past and base it on the performance…He didn’t…this is officially the worst season of X Factor…Worse than Leon……
